Inspired by a true story of twelve illegal immigrants who drowned in the Sava River on the very border between Bosnia and Croatia.  The screenplay develops the event and retells it through the eyes of a young Chinese girl, who loses her father in the accident.  The film then follows the relationship that develops between her and an ex-soldier of the Croatian Army, a rehabilitated drug addict suffering from PTSD who lost everything in the recent war.
