WAY OFF BROADWAY is Dan Kay’s award-winning feature debut and marks the comeback of feel-good eighties movies about young adults as they transition into the next stages of their personal and professional lives.  Scheduled for release in L.A. on March 18, 2005, the film stars an ensemble cast of up and coming talent, much like the “Brat Pack” of that time, including TV Guide’s Sexiest Newcomer, Morena Baccarin (Fox TV’s “Still Life” and Joss Whedon’s “Firefly).

This story of five friends who, frustrated by the abrupt juxtaposition of being successful artists on the university level to poor struggling artists in New York City, take a crash course in life as they explore the dynamics of conflict in friendship involving sex, love, failure and betrayal.  WAY OFF  BROADWAY explores the relationships of these characters and the choices they make which threaten their friendships, sacrifice their dreams and define their futures.
