SUMMARY:12:30 PM - THE DREAMERS / Les reveurs (106 m) - Cinema Francais
DESCRIPTION:U.S. PREMIERE \nÉlisabeth\, an actress\, runs writing workshops at Necker Hospital for teenagers in severe psychological distress. Through her interactions with them\, she is drawn back into her own past: her internment at age 14. Gradually\, memories resurface\, along with the discovery of theatre\, which once saved her. \nGenre:  Drama\nRunning Time:  106 m\nCountry:  France (100%)\nLanguage: French wEnglish subtitles\nWriters: Isabelle Carré (adaptation) (novel) (screenplay) | Agnès de Sacy (collaborating writer)\nProducers: Camille Gentet | Philippe Godeau\nCinematographer: Irina Lubtchansky\nCasting Director: Elsa Pharaon\nProduction Designer: Nicolas de Boiscuillé\nPrincipal Cast: Isabelle Carré\, Alex Lutz\, Judith Chemla\, and Bernard Campan.\nDistributor: Playtime\nTrailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWrfmpPXWSY \nShowing with SULAIMANI (19 m)  \nOne evening in Paris\, two Indian women from the Kerala region who do not know each other find themselves in the Indian restaurant Sulaimani. Sitting a few meters apart\, they observe each other\, intrigued by one another. In this miniature Kerala that is the restaurant\, the smells\, flavors\, music\, and language all remind them of the India of their past. Each revisits her experience of being uprooted and emancipation during this symbolic trip filled with memories. \nSituated in a relaxed but measured tempo of events\, we are introduced to the character’s past. The stop-motion puppet part is reserved for the present (with a darker-colored palette but still resonant)\, while the Indian ink 2D style of the past\, with its more free-floating (but identifiable) character and background design\, brings back the (good and bad) memories. \nGenres : Animation\, Artistic\, Drama\, Politica\nThemes : Encounters\, Friendship\, Gastronomy\, Memories\, Nostalgia\nProduction language : Malayalam\, French\nProduction country : France\nTrailer: https://mubi.com/en/films/sulaimani/trailer \n

SUMMARY:7:00 PM - VALENSOLE 1965 - (90 m) - Cinema Francais
DESCRIPTION:S P E C I A L   G U E S TS : \nDominique Filhol –  Writer|Director|Producer \n\n\n Edouard Blanchot\, – Co-Writer \nMark Yaeger – Composer \n\n\nBased on a true story. Near the French village of Valensole France\, farmer Maurice Masse was smoking a cigarette just before starting work at 5:45 A.M. on July 1\, 1965\, when an object came out of the sky and landed in a lavender field 200 feet away. Annoyed and assuming that a helicopter had made an unauthorized landing\, he walked toward it. However\, he soon saw it was no helicopter but an oval-shaped structure resting on four legs. In front of it stood two figures\, not quite four feet tall\, dressed in tight gray-green clothes. Their heads were oversize and with sharp chins\, their eyes were large and slanted\, and they were making a “grumbling” noise. One of the beings pointed a pencillike device at Masse\, paralyzing him in his tracks. The figures entered the UFO and flew away\, and the witness needed 20 minutes to recover his mobility. In its wake the object left a deep hole and a moist area that soon hardened like concrete. Plants in the vicinity decayed\, and analysis found a higher amount of calcium at the landing site than elsewhere. \nGenre: Drama / Sci-Fi\nRunning Time: 90 min\nCountry: France\nLanguage: French\nDirector: Dominique Filhol\nProducers: Dominique Filhol\, Virginie Lacombe\nCinematography: Athys de Galzain\nPrincipal Cast:  Matthias Van Khache\, Vahina Giocante\nDistributor: MMM Film Sales\nTrailer: https://youtu.be/gLT6AzIdsZ8 \nSHOWING WITH:  Garçon!  (14 m) \nMathieu\, a waiter at the Abbaye’s restaurant\, will have to face the worst client he has ever been able to serve. \nGenre: Comedy\nDirector: Olivier Lallart\nWriters: Jean-Luc Ettori (co-writer) | Olivier Lallart (co-writer)\nProducer: Patrick Hernandez (producer)\nComposers: Sébastien Huet | Yohann Le Borgne\nCinematographers: Arthur Bourdaud (director of photography) | Anne-Charlotte Henry (director of photography) (as Anne-charlotte Henry)
