Long a taboo subject in France, the infamous Vel’ d’Hiv Roundup is brought to stirring life in this gripping drama starring Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds, Beginners, Forbidden Love, The Concert), Jean Reno (The Professional, The Da Vinvi Code, Godzilla, La Femme Nikita) and Gad Elmaleh (Priceless, The Valet, Chouchou, Midnight in Paris).
Two days after Bastille Day 1942, more than 13,000 Jews were arrested and interned before being sent to Auschwitz. The Roundup brings us inside these events through the eyes of a child, revealing both the heartless complicity of the Vichy elite and the heroism of some ordinary citizens. This film continues to win an Audience Favorite Award at almost every festival it plays.

“A powerful, heart-wrenching film about everyday bravery and about those who would collaborate with evil. The people who most need to see it wouldn’t dream of attending.” The Jewish Advocate
“Turning one of the darkest moments in modern French history into historical drama, writer-director Rose Bosch’s “The Round Up” is a polished, pathos-driven re-creation of the Vichy regime’s mass imprisonment and disposal of 13,000 Parisian Jews in summer 1942.” Variety
