MY PERESTROIKA:   When the USSR broke apart in 1991, a generation of young people faced a new realm of possibilities.  An intimate epic about the extraordinary lives of this last Soviet generation, Robin Hessman’s feature documentary debut tells the stories of five Moscow schoolmates who were brought up behind the Iron Curtain, witnessed the joy and confusion of glasnost, and reached adulthood right as the world changed around them.  Through candid

GOOD_MENGOOD MEN

Special guests Mark Rydell and Brian Connors.  This is a test market screening.  The filmmakers want to learn your reaction to this 12 min film.  

GOOD MEN stars Ed Asner and Mark Rydell as two elderly Jewish men who are long time friends and colleagues.  On an afternoon before an Oscar party, Asner and Rydell get into a serious argument about The Holocaust, Conspiracy Theories and the 9/11 attack at The World Trade Center.

DFS audience will be asked to share their thoughts w/Brian Connors, Director – Writer – Producer and cast member Mark Rydell.  In addition to the serious content of GOOD MEN with regard to 9/11, about which Ed Asner is a wealth of knowledge, they are interested in develeoping this into a TV series and/or a feature film – A Comedy with Serious Content /SENIOR ENTOURAGE / SEINFELD FOR SENIORS.  The filmmakers believe there’s a need and an audience for a show like this.
