DRIFT (Greece / U.S.)
March 2 @ 10:00 am to approx. 12:30 pm
A young Liberian refugee named Jacqueline (two-time Academy Award-nominee Cynthia Erivo) has barely escaped her war-torn country to a Greek island. She offers massages to tourists in exchange for one or two euros to battle her hunger, while her daily struggle for survival keeps the memories that haunt her at bay. She meets an rootless tour guide (Alia Shawkat) and the two become close as they each find hope in the other to forge ahead. From the producers of CALL ME BY YOUR NAME and NOMADLAND.

“Solemn and stirring.”
—David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
“A performance so powerful that it’s occasionally too difficult to watch. And yet, Chen’s deft eye for the ebb and flow of recognizable human drama prevents you from ever looking away.”
